2 tablespoons of butter, melted
1 pound of ground beef
1 loaf of French bread
1/4 cup of ketchup
2 heaping tablespoons of sweet pickle relish
2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
10 turns of the pepper grinder
1 envelope of Lipton Recipe Secrets Golden Onion soup mix
1/2 cup of Rachael Ray Beef Stock in a Box
Chopped onion, chopped tomato and shredded lettuce, or optional toppings for garnish

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Get your ground beef going in a medium size skillet over medium heat.

Meanwhile, split the French bread in half lengthwise and brush cut side of bread with the melted butter. Place into the preheated oven for about 5 minutes per side, cut side up first then down, until lightly toasted and crunchy.

Brown the ground beef until cooked through, breaking up with a potato masher for a fine crumble. While meat is browning, in a separate small bowl, combine the ketchup, sweet pickle, mustard and pepper. Add the onion soup mix to the ketchup mixture and stir together well. Keep an eye on your bread!

To the browned ground beef, stir in the beef stock and the ketchup mixture; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until heated through well.

Spread the meat mixture over the bottom half of the toasted French bread. Top with chopped onion, tomato and shredded lettuce, or other toppings as desired.

Top with other half of the toasted French bread and cut into serving slices. Serves 4, or 2 really hungry adults.
